My mother found this recipe on the back of a bag of cranberries over 30 years ago and it has been a Thanksgiving staple ever since. We even slather it on white bread for leftover turkey sandwiches…Yum!
|1 bag of fresh cranberries
1 cup of sugar
1 large orange
- Clean the cranberries, removing any that are blemished.
- Rinse the orange and cut it in quarters, then quarter it again. remove any large seeds you may see.
- Dump the prepared berries and orange chunks into the food processor and pour in the sugar.
- Chop the ingredients until the pieces are uniform in size and well mixed. Chill for at least four hours. Serve cold.
