As a child of the late 70’s I was lucky enough to experience the magic of Shrinky Dinks. I always had so much fun sitting down at the kitchen table with my brother and using little colored pencils to draw on the rough side of the milky white plastic sheets.
Always on the lookout for do-it-yourself crafts, I stumbled across instructions for making your own “shrinky dinks” with plastic that you’ve already thrown into the recycle bin. All you need it #6 recyclable plastic, permanent markers a cookie sheet, aluminum foil and an oven.
This is a perfect craft to do with your kiddos and makes great gifts for the grandparents, just follow my easy homemade “shrinky dink” instructions.
